What is required when doing wudu is to wash the limbs in the order that was narrated from the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him). Based on that, whoever does these actions in the wrong order deliberately, his wudu is not valid. With regard to washing the right before the left when washing the hands and feet, that is not obligatory, because they are like one limb. The same applies to rinsing the mouth and nose whilst washing the face; it is not obligatory to pay attention to the order when doing them.

Wetting the hand and passing it over the limb is not regarded as washing it; rather it is essential either to dip the limb in water or let the water flow over it when washing it outside the vessel.

The jurists agreed that it is best to wipe the entire head, but they differed as to whether doing so is obligatory or not. The Malikis and Hanbalis are of the view that it is obligatory to wipe the entire head. The Hanafis and Shafi`is are of the view that it is sufficient to wipe part of the head.

The most correct opinion is that touching a woman does not invalidate Wudu at all whether it is with desire or without desire.
