It is not permissible to buy the bones of dead animals and cook them, and to drink their broth, whether the bone is still intact and remains as it was, or it is ground up and broth is made from the powder, which is sold in dried form, and so on.

There is nothing wrong with eating fruits that are coated with shellac wax or in which carmine has been used, if it does not cause any harm. If there are traces of insects on the fruit, the fruit may be washed and eaten. If you wash the fruit with soap and water, or something that will dissolve the wax, or you peel the fruit, that is a good idea.

If the meat comes from an animal that is lawful to eat and has been slaughtered according to Islamic principles, it is lawful to eat. Otherwise, it is prohibited.
